Vanessa Dunlear is the wife of Tim Dunlear and the primary antagonist in "St. Lucifer".
History[]
Vanessa was married to Tim Dunlear, a retired basketball player, and the victim of the murder being investigated in "St. Lucifer". The couple ran the Dunlear Foundation together, however, Vanessa was embezzling funds from the foundation, and when Tim found out about it, she killed him. While under Lucifer's influence, Vanessa stated that she deserved the money for supporting Tim after his retirement and she had to kill him because he would "ruin everything."
In the course of the investigation, it was revealed that Tim was having an affair with Vanessa's male assistant, which she knew about. in addition to her husband's affair, Lucifer stated Vanessa had "denied herself carbs since the 90s"
At the foundation gathering taking place at Lux, Vanessa meets Lucifer in his penthouse, and tells him that she is headed to Buenos Aires in the morning. Lucifer mentions that he knew several people to take refuge in Argentina - Nazis mostly, and it is when he then that he realizes there is no extradition treaty with Argentina, and that Vanessa did kill her husband, a claim she denied. Seeing that he was not fooled, Vanessa pulls a gun, and shoots him several times, leaving him for dead.
To Vanessa's shock, Lucifer appears downstairs at the fundraiser, alive and well, then outs Vanessa as the murderer, while Chloe appears and reveals Vanessa's embezzlement. Vanessa is then handcuffed and arrested for Tim's murder.
