At first, I thought it was an emissary on Earth working on dad's behalf, but the more I think about it, the more I think this isn't our father who art in Heaven at all. But something much, much darker.
Lucifer to Amenadiel about Sinnerman
in "They're Back, Aren't They?"

Sinnerman is a major villain in the third season. He is a mysterious criminal mastermind whom Lucifer believes was responsible for kidnapping him at the end of season 2.

The Sinnerman is a criminal mastermind who previously operated in the Midwest. Marcus Pierce encountered him in Chicago. After the Sinnerman killed Pierce's brother, Pierce ran away to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Lucifer Morningstar believes the Sinnerman was responsible for kidnapping him at the end of season 2. The Sinnerman knows that Lucifer is the devil and intentionally blinded himself so Lucifer could not find out what he desires.

The Sinnerman is a "slightly depraved" criminal mastermind.[2] While not much is known about what kind of person he is, it is known that Sinnerman is morally corrupt to the core, which leaves him as a dangerous and possibly intimidating figure.

Powers and Abilities

  • Supernatural strength (possibly): While it is currently unknown what exact species the Sinnerman is, it is possible that he does possess enough strength to knock Lucifer Morningstar unconscious. Although, it is unclear if it is him or someone he hired that knocked Lucifer out.
  • Pain resistance: The Sinnerman was able to carve out his own eyes without a sound, showing only mild discomfort at the act.
