Season 6 is the sixth and final season of Lucifer. On June 23, 2020, the official Twitter account announced that the TV show was picked up for a sixth season, which would be its last season.[1]
Premise[]
After millennia of being forced to rule Hell and then blamed for centuries for humanity's sins, Lucifer Morningstar decided to move to Los Angeles on Earth in 2011 for a better life. There his life made a turn for the better, finding justice for the innocent and falling in love with Chloe Decker. At the end of the previous season, Lucifer succeeded his father as the next God. Now in this final season, we will see where this new development leads Lucifer, his friends, and family as the series comes to a close.

Trivia[]
- Lucifer was previously scheduled to resume production the week of Jan. 11 2021 however on December 31, 2020 Warner Bros. Television had to push the production return date for their series that had been slated to resume filming in Los Angeles next week and the following week to maintain COVID protocols and to allow for a 10-day quarantine of those who had traveled for the holidays per LA County guidelines.[2]
- The events of this season take place between March and August 2020.
- This is the only season that the entire main cast was in every episode.
- This is the first season since Season 1 that Jeremiah Birkett didn't appear as Lee Garner.
- This is the only season that Lucifer Morningstar didn't refer to Dan Espinoza as "Detective Douche".
- It makes sense that Rory appears right at the end of episode one; she was conceived right before that moment.
- Throughout the season, Rory's clothes reflect her emotional state; she starts off with punk rock clothing consulting of metal accessories and leather, but it changes to more casual stuff.
