Trivia[]
- The title "Save the Devil, Save the World" is a reference to the message from the future in the NBC TV show Heroes: "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World." It acts as the mission of the first season of the show and is often mentioned or referenced in various ways throughout the show.
- Lucifer also says the title while discussing fixing his problem with his wings.
- This episode is directed by D.B. Woodside who plays Amenadiel.
- Amenadiel is unnecessarily dramatic with his takeoff flight.
- Ella learns the truth about Azrael.
- Ella claims that no one who knew about the celestial told her for sure that Charlotte Richards was definitely in a better place, but Amenadiel did tell her just that.
- Maze shows up in a strange pink outfit when called in to help, suggesting that she was in the middle of some bizarre foreplay with Eve. She even stated it was because it was their wedding night.
- When Dan tries to ask Maze to pass a message on to Ella, Maze responds that she will not be his "Whoopi Goldberg." This is a reference to the film Ghost where Whoopi Goldberg plays a psychic who begrudgingly helps a ghost solve his murder.
- In the manuscript scenes everyone pictures, Lucifer's point of view shows many things.
- How the killer is always the first person they talk to; he's apparently not surprised.
- It's rare that it isn't.
- Chloe solving murders with ease after hearing a random piece of information.
- The formula for their cases is always "clue, suspect, new clue, takedown"
- Ella being happy and saying "science gak" Lucifer doesn't understand.
- Her shirt is even blatantly has "Happy Shirt" written on it.
- Dan being inept at his job.
- Ironically he is the only one in Lucifer's POV story who DOESN'T repeat a placeholder phrase; showing Lucifer thinks hes simple.
- Maze being a kickass bounty hunter, and seducing anyone.
- Dismissing Ella and others to deal with celestial problems.
- How the killer is always the first person they talk to; he's apparently not surprised.
- Linda's titles in the story was praised by Lucifer as: MD, PSYD, MA, MP, Master in Science and Technology, Master of the universe. But it was cut-off.
