— Saraqael to Lucifer Morningstar in "Is This Really How It's Going To End?!" |
Saraqael, also known as Sara, is an Angel and one of Lucifer Morningstar's siblings. Initially siding with Lucifer in his failed rebellion against God, Saraqael later suffered from their Father's "passive aggressive" wrath, causing her to hold Lucifer in contempt. Following God's announcement to retire, Saraqael was considered one of the swing votes to decide whether Lucifer or Michael would become the successor. She ultimately sided with Michael in his bid to become the new Sovereign of Heaven. She was present during the final battle between the twins, and she fought Lucifer's Demon allies and Mazikeen. After Michael was defeated, Saraqael recognized Lucifer as the victor and bends a knee acknowledging him as the new God.
Biography[]
History[]
Creation[]
Saraqael was one of the many Angels created by God and Goddess, billions of years ago.[1]
Samael's Heavenly Rebellion[]
She was one of the Angels who supported Lucifer Morningstar during his rebellion against God, and after her brother's subsequent failure and banishment to Hell, she claims to have suffered from their Father's "passive aggressive wrath".[2]
Battle for Supremacy[]
Courtesy Visit[]
After God decides to retire without choosing a successor for the Sovereign of Heaven, Lucifer volunteers himself for the position, which garners widespread opposition from many angels. When Lucifer requests Saraqael's support, he is initially able to almost convince her by offering the chance to spend time with Top Chef Champion, Michael Voltaggio, whom she admires and is a fan of. She then asks Lucifer why he wanted to be God, and he was unable to offer a clear answer for her, so Saraqael states that she has to think about her decision and leaves him.[2]
Casting the Votes[]
It is later shown that she decided to support Michael's claim for the position of God over Lucifer's, and fights with his forces in the war.[3]
Accepting the New God[]
Following Michael's defeat, Saraqael accepts Lucifer as the new Sovereign of Heaven and can be seen bowing down along with the other angels.[3]
Powers and Abilities[]
Powers[]
- Angel Physiology: As an Angel, Saraqael has their powers, as well as their weaknesses.
- Superhuman Strength: Saraqael, like all Angels, has immense levels of superhuman strength and can exert, lift and carry an unbelievable amount of force and mass.
- Superhuman Speed: Saraqael, like all Angels, has tremendous superhuman speed, she can appear and disappear much faster than the human eye could see.
- Superhuman Reflexes: Saraqael, like all Angels, has incredible superhuman reflexes, and react, dodge, or catch incoming damage at immense speeds.
- Immortality: Saraquel, like all Angels, is immortal. She is immune to aging and illnesses. Like her Angel siblings, she is billions of years old.
- Flight: Saraquel's wings allow her to fly. She can fly as fast or faster than the speed of light in which she would seemingly disappear from the Human eye, in a similar manner, akin to teleportation.
- Desire Exhibition Resistance: Saraqael managed to effortlessly resist Lucifer Morningstar's attempt at using his mojo against her. It is unknown as to whether this is due to Lucifer's mojo being limited to only mortals.
Weaknesses[]
- Demon Daggers Forged In Hell: Demon Daggers are able to lethally harm all Angels. In the war, Saraqael was slashed with one by Mazikeen, which visibly damages and incapacitates her.
- Other Supernatural Beings: Like all other Angels, Saraquel can be killed by other supernatural beings, which includes other Angels and Demons.
- Self - Actualization All Angels are able to self-actualize, which results in their judgements manifesting as psychosomatic changes, as shown with Amenadiel losing his wings and Lucifer Morningstar regaining his Angel wings despite cutting them of. Saraquel should be vulnerable to this weakness just as any other Angel.
- Flaming Sword: Saraqael can be eradicated by Azrael's Blade and the completed Flaming Sword.
