Back at the precinct, the their suspect is waiting in interrogation, and while Chloe is talking to Dan, Lucifer questions him alone, breaking off the doors handles so they won't be disturbed. From the viewing room, Chloe tells Lucifer to open the doors, which he reluctantly does, declaring the suspect innocent. He tells Chloe that while the ex had been at the wedding, he had left and bumped into a man with a guitar case, which Chloe speculates could have been used to carry and hide the murder weapon.
Lucifer then goes to talk to Linda, telling her that he killed Uriel. Linda thinks he is still speaking in metaphors and tells him that she has had enough, that he needs to tell her the truth. Lucifer shows her his true appearance, revealing himself as the Devil. Linda is in shock, frozen in place, while Lucifer leaves her office.

After going back to the scene of the crime, the LAPD find evidence of a shooter. They find a food wrapper and Chloe and Lucifer decide to check out the venue. When they get there, they discover that the shooter had been there earlier that day, asking for the owner, Freddy. Before they can ask anymore questions, however, Freddy is shot by sniper rifle. Chloe sees where the shot came from but by the time she and Lucifer get there, the shooter is gone. Chloe realises that their killer has "a list".

Back at the precinct, Chloe talks to Freddy's wife and discovers that connection between the two victims is their spouses. They worked together; the murdered bride's husband is a lawyer who handled malpractices at the hospital where Freddy's wife works.

Dan fails to get the records, saying they need a warrant, but Lucifer steals his badge and uses it to get the records himself. Meanwhile, Maze takes Trixie trick-or-treating. They are getting lots of candy, but Trixie laments that she wishes Maze had worn a costume too. Maze says that she did bring "something" and asks Trixie to turn around. After a moment, she tells Trixie that she's ready and Trixie turns around to see Maze's true demon face. After a beat, Trixie excitedly declares that it is "cool" and that they are going to get even more candy.

They figure out who Wes' next targets are; a husband and wife team who participated in the trial. They go to check on the pair at their place of work, but Wes is already there. He tries to shoot the wife, Sally, in the lobby of the building, but Lucifer appears and stands in front of her, telling Wes to shoot him.

"Monster" is the sixth episode of the second season of Lucifer.

Summary

"Guilty and self-destructive, Lucifer clashes with Chloe during an investigation, leading her to team up with Dan instead. Meanwhile, Amenadiel bonds with Charlotte, and Maze takes Trixie trick-or-treating."[1]

Plot
