Lux is a nightclub in Los Angeles owned by Lucifer Morningstar, the curent ruler of Hell. Lucifer runs the establishment with the help of his trusted friend and demon, Mazikeen.

Description

Entering Lux, there is a platform overlooking the main area with a stairwell leading down.

Lucifer lives in the penthouse of the building. An elevator appears to be the only way to Lucifer's home.

There is also a wine cellar where Lucifer tried to lockup Goddess in "The Good, the Bad and the Crispy". Under Lux, there are prohibition tunnels. According to Lucifer, "Howard Hughes used to use them to sneak his mistresses away from his other mistresses."

History

In 2011, Lux used to be a MMA bar named Rico's. Lucifer fought Amenadiel in the cage there, where Amenadiel gave up and lost against his brother.

In "The Would-Be Prince of Darkness", Justin claims to be Lucifer Morningstar in order to impress girls.

In "Homewrecker", Eleanor Bloom bought the building in which Lux is located. She planned to demolish the building, but thanks to Chloe, the building was deemed a heritage site and protected from being destroyed.

Trivia

  • "Lux" is Latin for "divine light", likely a reference to the name "Lucifer" which means "light-bringer".
  • It unknown if Maze is still in charge of Lux's finances or if someone else does it now.
  • The entrance to Lux is changes between seasons. In the first season, there was a simple ramp entrance with "Lux" next to the door. In the third season, it is a brightly lit, grandiose entryway with velvet ropes to hold back crowds.
