As a died hard fan of Tom Welling, I felt that it was not fair to have his role to be dead prematurely...I need to get the executives to reconsider bring Tom Welling back in future seasons of Lucifer soon!

All Pierce wanted to do was die and he finally got his wish. His story arc is over and he's most certainly never coming back. His return would require there to be future seasons of Lucifer. A show that was canceled and then picked up by netflix. However, it's only been picked up for a 4th season of 10 episodes with no word of there being a 5th season afterward. I mean, there's always a chance Pierce will return but I find this to be unlikely.
I personally say...Pierce is a fool for his desire to die!

I think that's easy to say for someone who hasn't lived a millennia. A couple other TV series that explore an immortal human living among mortal humans are Forever (2014–15) and New Amsterdam (2008 series, not 2018).
To be fair, in the end of season 3, we saw 30 seconds of Caïn being dead. Netflix can make him resurrect and grasping for air like he did in the s3e10. Because having his curse visibly remove doesn't automatically means that he's cure from his curse (a bit like Lucifer not having his devil face doesn't mean he's allowed to go to Heaven, probably still banned). It's unlikely (his sory arc is finished) but I love to underline it ;)
Oh gosh, please no. Season three is, like, unbearable to rewatch because Cain just weasles his way into everything and obliterates it into disaster. Like, from a storywriter's viewpoint, I loved his character, because it created so much tension, and it just kept me watching the show at every little chance I got (even if I'm just waiting to cross the road at a streetlight), just so I could get to the resolution where he is gone and things are resolved. But from a fan who lhas grown attached to the characters and their relationships, I loathe him.
While I too loved Peirce (at first) and Tom Welling, I think his story was at its end. Anything more would almost feel drawn out, like they were just cashing in on the character and milking it dry.
